Rollins Celebrates Earth Day 2005
April 25, 2005
Eco Rollins and the Department of Environmental Studies sponsored an Earth Day 2005 Celebration on Thursday, April 21. The event featured live music, tie-dyeing, information booths, a dunk tank and more. Professor of Environmental Studies Bruce Stephenson was dunked in the dunk tank. The evening concluded with a showing of the Oscar-winning motion picture Erin Brockovich.
"It was cool, especially for freshmen who didn't realize that we did anything environmental," said organizer Sara Shaw '07.
The event was mentioned in "Earth Day grows beyond grass-roots 'green'" in the Friday, April 22 issue of the Orlando Sentinel.
