Hamilton Holt School Presents Starry, Starry Night Scholarship Benefit Gala
March 31, 2008
Rollins College Hamilton Holt School will present the 12th annual Starry, Starry Night scholarship benefit on Friday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Harold & Ted Alfond Sports Center at Rollins College.
Sipping Florentine limoncello in the shadow of the Colosseum. Eating Venetian gelato on the steps of the Forum. Browsing a street market bedecked with eclectic Italian wares while Enrico Caruso serenades you and Mona Lisa smiles your way. Scenes such as these will create a fantasy evening for guests of this year’s Starry, Starry Night in Italy, which will feature a cocktail party and silent auction followed by a gourmet dinner by Arthur’s Catering and a live auction with Barbara and Wade West. “This year’s Starry, Starry Night promises to be as romantic as the stars themselves,” said event chair Nancy Port Schwalb.
Starry, Starry Night has raised more than $1.2 million since 1997, providing scholarships for hundreds of local students in the evening degree program at Rollins College. “Without financial assistance and scholarship support, many of these students would be unable to experience the benefits of a Rollins College education,” said Sharon Carrier, dean of the Hamilton Holt School.
Corporate tables of 10 are priced at $3,000 and $5,000, and individual tickets are available for $500. Those who can’t attend the event can participate in making it a success for Hamilton Holt scholarship students through donations. To purchase tickets or a table, or to make a direct donation, please call 407-646-1577 or visit www.rollins.edu/holt. To donate an auction item or service, please call 407-647-1332.
